Who We Are:

Hope and Area Transition Society was established in 1994. At that time, the intent of the Agency was to offer a haven for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Our Transition House opened in a permanent location in 1995 and was officially named the Jean Scott Transition House. Jean Scott was a trailblazer for women’s equality and was instrumental in the creation of our Transition House. The Transition House is the cornerstone of the agency.

Over the years, we have grown into 4 broad streams of services:

Domestic Violence, Substance Use, Youth and Family, Homelessness

We are looking to hire Emergency Shelter casual employees.

You bring the following qualities:

• education,
• experience in human social services field
• trauma informed knowledge and practice
• cultural awareness compassion understanding of complex social situations and homelessness

Job consists of:

• intake and support
• record keeping
• Cleaning and safety

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $25.95 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Location:

• Hope, BC (preferred)

Work Location: In person
